We wanted to let you know about a collaboration between the Maastricht University Antipsychotic Withdrawal Study and University of Pittsburgh that you may be interested in!
A team of lived experience researchers at the University of Pittsburgh is conducting interviews to deepen our understanding of antipsychotic discontinuation among individuals who have been diagnosed or labeled with psychosis. Interviews will cover motivations, experiences of tapering or withdrawal, strategies and sources of support during and following discontinuation and long-term impacts. Interviews will be audio recorded, conducted by phone or Zoom and will last approximately 60-75 minutes.
Who is eligible to participate?
- Are no longer taking daily oral antipsychotics or regular injectables and you discontinued these antipsychotics at least a year prior to interview (sporadic use of antipsychotics as PRNs is fine)
- Are or were diagnosed with a psychosis-related condition Continued to navigate experiences that could be labelled as “psychosis” after discontinuation
- At least 18 years of age
- Proficient in English
- Participants will be compensated $60 for their time.
